My journey to a career in Massage Therapy began with my own health challenges while living and teaching abroad in my early twenties. Prioritizing my health, at the time, meant returning home to the Blue Ridge Mountains, where I worked as an assistant to TCM acupuncturists. Over three years, under the tutelage of seven different practitioners, I learned many invaluable skills, including the healing modalities of fire cupping and gua sha. This opportunity to do hands-on, whole-person-focused work validated my passion for massage as therapeutic touch. I later worked at the Center for Massage student clinic, where witnessing students’ transformation and growth ultimately inspired me to pursue and develop my own practice. In 2015, I completed a 675-hour Massage Therapy program at the Asheville School of Massage & Yoga. In 2016, I began studying Lymphatic Enhancement Therapy and Lymph Node Release Techniques under the late and great Leslie Bonner, LMBT, ND. Thanks to a decade of her classes and mentorship, lymphatic drainage therapy has become an important focus of my practice. I am currently continuing to deepen my studies with the Chikly Health Institute. I find purpose and fulfillment in providing relief via bodywork as well as continuously learning and evolving in the field of therapeutic touch. My hope is that every person who walks through my door feels genuinely welcomed, cared for, and empowered. I strive to create a calm, supportive environment where your body can rest, recover, and move toward greater health at its own pace.
